Credentials & Experience
Based in Redwood City, I offer mental performance coaching for youth jiujitsu and monthly classes at Peninsula Self Defense. Additionally, I work with high school, collegiate, and professional golf in connection with The Golf Garage in San Jose. As a licensed psychotherapist (LMFT 97196), I have extensive experience providing individual and family therapy, consultation on treatment, and psychosocial assessment and diagnosis. I have also provided 1 on 1 and group competition coaching for youth golfers, collegiate athletes, and martial artists. I hold a BA in psychology from Saint Mary's College of California and a Masters Degree in clinical psychology from The University of San Francisco. I also hold a certification to administer and interpret the TAIS sports assessment.
As a psychotherapist and mental performance coach, I bring a unique perspective to my work, drawing on my experiences as a husband, father, Brown belt in Brazilian Jiujitsu and golf enthusiast. Prior to my current role, I was a youth golf coach with the San Parks and Recreation athletics program. Today, I continue my Jiujitsu journey at Peninsula Self Defense under Coral Belt Jean Jauque Machado in Redwood City, CA. My approach to therapy and mental performance coaching is grounded in both my lived experience and my knowledge of trauma treatment, providing a well-rounded approach to helping my clients achieve their goals.
